Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT): An Introduction to Spiritual and Health Benefits
Indiana State University
Mindfulness has been shown to have a broad range of impact on psychological and physical health. A growing area of application of mindfulness-based treatment is on struggles with overeating and related psychological distress.. One mediating factor appears to be an increase in spiritual well-being and religious engagement. This workshop will provide an overview of the conceptual and substantial research foundation of MB-EAT, particularly as related to spiritual well-being, a review of the content of the program, and a brief experiential introduction to mindfulness-based eating.
